A first WSL win of the season

Aston Villa secured a maiden win of the 2026/27 Women's Super League season on Sunday as they came from behind to defeat Liverpool 2-1.

A deflected Océane Deslandes corner decided the contest after Chasity Grant had levelled with a superb strike from the top right corner of the box.

The victory marked our second successive win across all competitions at Keys Park, and kick starts positive momentum going into a busy block of games.
