Aston Villa maintained their 100% start to the UEFA Champions League league phase on Wednesday night, with a 3-1 victory at home to Viking.

Goals from Ross Barkley and Emi Buendía along with a second-half own-goal secured the three European points for Unai Emery’s men, who made it three wins from three to climb to second in the table.

It’s now six games unbeaten for the Villans and 12 European wins in a row on home turf, as Emery’s charges won a fourth successive Champions League game for the first time in their history.
