Johan Manzambi faces a late fitness test ahead of Aston Villa’s Premier League encounter against Manchester City.
The attacking midfielder missed Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League victory over Viking due to a “small injury”.
And Manzambi will be assessed prior to Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off at Villa Park to determine his availability.
Unai Emery will also check on those who featured in midweek given the short turnaround before facing unbeaten league leaders City.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka continues to be absent for around three to four weeks, joining fellow full-back Matteo Ruggeri and midfielder Amadou Onana on the sidelines.
Speaking at Friday’s pre-match media conference, manager Emery said: “We are training now in the afternoon.
“Still being some players clearly out like Onana, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Ruggeri.
“Other players we will see how they are after the match we played on Wednesday. Some were in some pain.
“I can’t tell you now until after the training session this afternoon.”
