Aston Villa have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.

If you’re looking to make a change in midfield this week, Emi Buendía (£6.0m) could be on your radar.

He played as Villa’s most advanced attacker in Gameweek 1, and recorded three shots inside the first 10 minutes at Brighton & Hove Albion.

A dual threat from a Fantasy perspective, capable of contributing both goals and assists, Buendía produced 20 attacking returns across all competitions last season.

It included a dramatic late winner in the 2-1 home win over Arsenal, who the Villans host in Gameweek 2.

Buendía also offers an additional attacking threat from set plays.

The midfielder successfully converted Villa’s last penalty in May, in the Europa League semi-finals. With the potential to take free-kicks, too, he has multiple routes to FPL points.

Villa’s next four matches after Arsenal are against Hull City (a), Nottingham Forest (h), Tottenham Hotspur (a) and Brentford (h), which, based on the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker, is the best run of any Premier League side.

It presents an opportunity for Buendía to make an early impact in the 2026/27 season.

Kai Havertz (£7.5m), Bukayo Saka (£9.5m) and Martin Ødegaard (£6.5m) all scored for Arsenal in the Gameweek 1 curtain-raiser on Friday, as Mikel Arteta’s side coasted to a comfortable 3-0 win over Coventry City.
