Aston Villa have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2026/27 Fantasy Premier League season.
Scout will be using their expertise to provide advice and gameweek tips which should prove useful in ensuring you win your mini-leagues.
Nicolas Jackson (£6.5m) may not have scored on his debut against Arsenal on Monday, but his performance provided plenty of encouragement for FPL managers.
A threat on the counter-attack, Villa looked to use the pace of the Senegal forward in transition. He certainly contributed to some of the Villans’ best attacking moments, with one dangerous low cross into the penalty box catching the eye.
For those wanting a differential pick, Jackson ticks the correct boxes. He’s currently owned by under 1% of FPL managers. Prior to his loan spell at Bayern Munich last season, Jackson scored 10 goals and supplied six assists in 28 Premier League starts for Chelsea in 2024/25.
In that campaign, no Chelsea player managed more than his 68 shots in the box and 28 big chances.
The upcoming fixtures could give Jackson further opportunities to score and assist. Villa’s next match is against Hull City (a) in Gameweek 3, with games against Nottingham Forest (h), Tottenham Hotspur (a), Brentford (h) and Newcastle United (a) to follow.
Saturday’s opponents, Hull, have taken six points from their first two matches, with wins against Manchester United and Coventry City.
